so here's the deal,

when i was driving today all the sudden (out of the blue) my engine started to make a clunking noise. i thought it was my tire (it is an even rotation noise) clunk cluck pause clunk clunk pause clunk clunk. and it happens when i let off the gas and push in the clutch, but goes away when i step on the brakes (still happens when i barely press the gas or brake) again, its an even clunk, in time with something on the car because the faster i go the faster it gets and vise versa, any body know what going on?

Doubtful. Look at your driveshaft :P

Do a little test, when it start knocking, play around with the clutch and see if there is any correlation to loudness/occurance/speed of the knocking with the clutch is in, halfway in or out.

Are you still getting full power?

If it only happens while moving check your lugs.

push and pull on your crank pulley make sure thats tight.

Check your oil.

Does it get louder or more profound when you go turn hard.
