hey :)

i own a mitsubish verada 92 auto and i bought it about 4 months ago and it would kick into gear when it was cold but lately the problem has gone further and i have lost 4th and 5th gear its like it goes from 3rd to nuetral. i have had the transmission serviced and all the bands done and propper magna oil has been added i have replaced the tcu with a secondhand one which had been tested but it still isnt workin ? please help its frustrating the crap out of me !

the 92 verada only had a 4 speed box and overdrive

when you select overdrive above 70 km

if the motor just revs or goes into like neutral and drops back into 3rd

the problem is in the overdrive clutch a simple fix

no problem with the box or the TCU

the overdrive lasts a lot longer when not used under 70 km/h

you just get an overdrive kit
the friction plates have to soak for two hours before fitting
the box stays in

dont know why this part wasnt done if the auto had a full rebuild
