someone mentioned before that if your car is lowered its the springs thats causing it to start going left. i have the same problem, lowered and it tracks to the left. overall so far the only problem i've had is when starting it sounds like the battery is dying but it eventually starts after turning the ignition off and back on.

Most of these problems are from the dealer specifically. The BBB might be your best bet as that dealer sounds a little shady. I agree with the paint chips though, the paint is too thin and "soft". My only gripe with my Lancer is the tint scratching. I don't think I should have to pay ~$100 for something that was overlooked by Mitsu.

Your example is an extreme. In the hot sunny parts of the country, tint is a must. The dealer included tint with my purchase, I myself did not have it done by a 3rd party. Never was I warned that the seals may damage the tint (that I bought with the car). A parallel for your example would be if they forget to seal a door and water leaks in, they can say the car wasn't made for rain.

I havn't been on these forums for a while but I can see that there are soooo MANY PROBLEMS. Me having my car for nearly a year had 3 Problems myself.
1. RADIO (took f***ing like 5 times to fix)
2. A/C broke the first day
3. Trying to fix the A/C on a brand new car got like 30KM on it ..casue they had to drive it somewhere to get it fix
4. Trying to fix the RAdio, they broke the fog light
5. STILL PENDING. THERE IS A HUGE F***ING GAP on my A-Pillar that they said they cant fix becuase apparently its on all cars. I did do my own investigation and I do see cars with a slight gap but not like mine. I also did see cars with NO GAPS... anyway they said they cant do anything becuase if they do, it might cause more problems because they ahve to move the entire thing or something.
In conclusion, I just think Mitsubishi was a bad choice/experience for me. If I could go back in time I WOULD NOT BUY A MITSUBISHI.

I havent had any problems with mine yet....knock on wood..
only complaint that I have is that yes...it seams like there is no clear coat on the car....Once I get the money...my car is going to a shop for a clear coating

Mine does the same but it's normal. My best guess on that is the engine goes into some kind of fuel saving mode where it idles at the lowest possible RPM. However I have no source to back that up.

My ES CVT after 3500miles
bought it with 3 miles on it
and babied it as good as I could:
Lack of power. It feels like everything is underpowered:
1. Engine is sluggish. The most used engine speed 2000-3000rpm range is the most uncomfortable to the ear. The engine starts to sound good only when you're over 3500rpm which is not very often.
2. Windows' electric motors are weak. The windows won't go down even though there is just a little ice on those lips.
3 Windshield wiper motors are weak. They are easily slowed down/impeded by wind at high speeds. Not to mention the poor quality of the wipers.
4. Trunk lid. It takes 3 or 4 tries sometimes to get it closed, unless I use brute force from the first time which brakes my heart...
5. MPG. I knew what I was buying so that was not a disappointment. Still, if you want to get the sticker numbers you have to drive very conservatively...
6. Problems starting the car even in warm weather. I have to be very careful before attempting to start the engine, to turn everything off: radio, blower...
I used to think my 07 Civic was a girly car, so I gave it to my wife and I opted for a man's car, the Lancer .... well I don't know ... I've never had any of the above problems with the Civic in over 15.000 miles. Everything on the Civic is smooth and right (just as a note: the Civic has smaller side mirrors, but better rear visibility).
But anyway, it is not that bad, I like my 08 Lancer because it is mine and it looks **** good.
I wish I didn't drive the Civic before though.

I find i have the same problem... If you could call it that, with the RPMs, It starts to get winey when im in 5th going 60, I wish They had made a 6th gear. I have not noticed any of the starting problems, or power problems, then again I just got the car today, and only have 160 miles on it.
