You probably need the boot disk to start-up and then it can run with the normal one. It should come up with a message asking for although our versions are in Japanese.

We had a site in NZ which offered the boot disk and any run disks you required for free (can be downoaded as an ISC) but I think that they ran into problems with the server and haven't been on-line for some months. I will list below as you may be able to send an email to inquire about the system.

Other than that you are at the mercy of the local friendly Mitsi dealer. Some I have heard charge an exhorbant fee just to start the system back up. From the stories I've heard across the globe few dealres know what they are doing when it comes to this system and charge far to much for that service.

hi matey, I don't think that it is a satellite issue, if it was I think the dealer should have told me, also the dealer said that he tried a dvd rom that works in a different car but even that wouldn't work in my car. Again he put it down to the actual dvd unit. Thanks for the post anyway. :liebe011:

Ask them when you go there. I think dealers are as much in the dark with the MMCS as the rest of us. Everytime I try and talk to a dealer about mine all I get is a blank look on thier face.

Hi Guys, is this true? My MP-7500 stopped working and we were told by Alpine, and others, that it is a satellite issue which is causes the startup process to corrupt. Contacted several Mitsubish dealers who played dumb, went to a specialist and he told me that it is a satellite issue.

Contacted Mistubish group who said take the car to a dealer, which we did. They told us it is pooped and that we need a new sat nav at £1600

So what is the real answer as there are NO upgrades to an MP-7500.

Can I just install an Alpine with a conversion cable?

Just discovered this message board. Have similar problem and same useless response from local Mitsubishi agent who advise buy a new system. I shall do battle with Mitsubishi direct tomorrow as clearly there is a software issue that they should be duty bound to solve. Hopefully will be able to then post a response

Hello, I own a 2001 Mitsubishi Pajero 3.2DID with a central screen and NAVI system from AISIN. Unfortunately there is no map for my country (Greece). The NAVI itself seems locked to the specific map-DVD. I thought of removing the whole navi under the drivers seat and put a destinator-based GPS system with an AV output connector (they are remote controlled and cost ~300Euro). Does anybody know how can I connect an external composite video signal (i.e from a DVD player) to the mitsubishi screen? The display connector on the AISIN NAVI has a lot of pins (possible a strange RGB connector?). Thanks in advance
