The backlight to my stock head unit on my 03 Es Lancer went out. Doesn anyone know how to fix it?

are you talking about your stereo deck? if so then just replace that crappy stereo with a after market stereo deck. remember that once a stereo's internal lights go out you can't really get it fixed unless you take it to a electrician shop and then its not really worth paying $75 to get it fixed when for a $110 you can get a new radio that has better features than the stock one does.
