Hey, i need some ideas on my girlfreinds 2002 Taurus the heat stopped working. At first she said it would work only on high, and sometimes it would stop. She said when it stopped she would hit a pothole and it would start back up lol. Any ideas, we checked fuses and we replaced the voltage regulator, not sure if thats the correct name but thats what it does, any ideas?

Thanks,

Woody

This happened to me once and it was because some leaves made their way into the system. I didn't cover the outer vents at the bottom of the windshield and had it parked under trees in the fall. This was in a 93 sunbird btw.

check the actual speed selector switch and then move to the heater core, they can be a real booger but my old explorer did the same thing... high only, then low, then high, then nothing at all. it was a combo of plugged heater core and bad selector switch.
