guyz i have 05 lancer auto that i just wrecked yesterday.. very sad.. air bags went off and stuff.. but i also own a 1998 mirage if the engine in lancer is ok .. u think i can swap it on 98 mirage? with tranny and every thing? what would i have to do exactly.. both are automatic.. will it be easy? hard? ( does the engine look ok in pic radiator is agasint it.. but still .. do u all think?? it only has 57000 miles on it ) Urgent =( thanks..

if your lancer is the 2.0 engine and the mirage has the 2.0 block then it should switch right across it all depends specific things. see because the mirage came with little 1.4L, 1.6L, and 1.8L engines. i believe and i'm pretty sure they are all the same type of 2.0L block with different bore sizing for the cylinder sleeves. just find out if they have the same type of engine block then they should mount the same, and be able to swap transmissions. e-mail me with the 2 different cars info and i can look it up if you need me to. just e-mail me on here.
