Just installed the WORKS axle-back exhaust and the RRM Intake on my girlfriends '08 Lancer GTS.

I made some quick before and after videos to demonstrate the differences in sound on the interior, launching, revving and doing a "ricer fly-by". :blush-anim-cl:

It sounds a little better in person. I turned up the audio in editing so it might seem louder then it is.

Unfortunately there is no silencer. The WORKS is a muffler delete, so it's just a straight pipe.

It drones sometimes and can be really annoying in the mornings or when I have a headache, but I'm still enjoying it, lol.

Huh??? On the video you responded with this: "It sounds good. No droning or overly loud noises when gassed."

Starting to worry me here! Is it really that bad, in the morning & on the highway?

Well, we might be thinking of different "droning". I'm referring to when I enter a freeway and hold the gas about 2/4th down around 3000rpm, the exhaust holds it's deep bass sound.

My quote from a while ago is when you gas it hard and get up to whatever speed you want to there is no droning. But slowly building up that speed can cause some droning.

MPG driving = Droning
Fun driving = No droning

???

My concern is... what does it sound like around a constant 2000-2500 RPM? SixFeetDeep tends to cruise at that RPM band... which is why he is the MPG Lancer King!

Sounds perfect in that range. Not overly loud or annoying. It's when it holds at 3000rpm is when it drones. So you either have to raise the RPM's or let them fall a little.

Well I'll find out maybe Tuesday or Wednesday next week. :)

If it turns out to be too loud.....off with it. But I have a feeling that I'll like it.
I guess if I have to change my driving habit to un-granny like conditions....might not be too bad ;)
