The first call I either receive or attempt to make, each time after starting the engine, the bluetooth does not connect. This happens ALMOST EVERY time. It doesn't matter if it is 2 minutes after starting the engine, or 20 minutes.

When the first call comes in, it interrupts the music and says "incoming call," like it should. But when I push the answer button, the music comes back on. My phone shows that the call connected for a few seconds, then disconnects. Then, if they call back, or I call them, it connects as it should.

I don't know if this is a problem with my phone, or the car. Any thoughts or similar experiences?

What kind of phone & service do you have?

If your phone is around 6 months old or older....check with your provider. There may be some sort of an update to your phones Bluetooth software that might make it work better for you.
This update can take around 45 minutes at the store. There tech support can walk you through to see what version of software your phone has & if there is an update available.
Worth a shot.........

I have a Verizon LG Voyager & even that phone gave me a little grief upon initial set up.....

I have Sprint, and the phone is a Samsung M610. I will check with Sprint to see if there are any updates to my Bluetooth software. I'll post a reply as to whether or not it works.

Yours automatically connects!!?? I have to manually connect mine to the car everytime for it to work properly. I thought there was something wrong with it, just wasnt sure. Any suggestions as to why it is like that? I have an LG Sync, or i believe it is called the A707...

I belive the problem is the crappy Bluetooth system that they installed. I am very, very, very familiar with Bluetooth systems, and this is by far the worst that I have had the misfortune of using. I used mine for one week and have not even looked at the buttons since. Horrid.

i used a Razr v3 which was 3 month old with my car, i had no problem at all. But i switch with a blackberry ( a year 2006 version, which is older) and i don't have any problem at all, it connects after, like 15 seconds.... so it might be your bluetooth device in your car......
