Hi. I can't find the ignition transistor (does job of ballast resistor) on the young bloke's 91 Australian Lancer (aka Mirage or Colt overseas I think). It has a 12-valve engine, EFI, with the distributor poking out of the back of the block (above the slushbox). It may be in the distributor, perhaps? If anyone has a circuit, that would help. Engine only fires when you let the key go (on cranking). Any other ideas?? Thanks in Advance, Jimbob.

First guess would be the ignition switch itself. With the ignition switch on "ON" but not "START", are you getting power to the distributor?
