i have no idea wat is wrong with my catalytic converter, all i know is that i need a new one. my car was diagnosed and it came up that i need a new one,.. now, im tryin to make the mitsubishi dealer my last resort dew to there prices. i have a 2000 gs 2.4, and i dont know y but all the shops i go to they ask me where is my car emission, and it comes up wit california emissions wen searched with vin number, i dont know wat that means,..but if someone can let me know where to get a new one i would very much thank u,. thanx ! :)

Jesus - I had to read your post 5 times to make sense of your grammar. If you don't try to type a coherant thought, then people won't try to help you. But since I'm bored, I'll give you the basics and you can Google for more if you want.

On teh 3rd Generation Eclipse (2000-2005), in the year 2000 - they made two versions.

Cali Spec
Fed Spec

Fed Spec was only offered in the year 2000 and does not have pre-cats. The Cali Spec has standard pre-cats and a primary cat and is the same setup as the following 2001-2005 years.

You can buy any drop in repalcement catalytic converter (regular or High Flow). Pick up a new one, have it installed - and be on your way.

Also - since you live in NJ - take a look at the local regional site www.mitsuoama.com We plan out meets, events, shows, etc there and its for everyone in the Mid-Atlantic region.
