i think that the most under estimated car has got to be the last model V6 Oldsmobile Alero. if they had made that car in a 5 speed that sucker would have been fricken sweet, and would have never been discontinued. i know what your thinkin, but your wrong they don't look like a grandpa's car. here is a link to a Modified Alero car show they hold in Lancing Michigan every fathers day. some of the sickest Alero's ever to be built grace this car show every year.

looking at a stock Alero from the front end doesn't it look similar to the gen 1 eclipse? i know Oldsmobile is kind of late to be looking like a car built over 14 years ago, but at least they are starting to go in a good direction right?

They are a pretty good sleeper. I also think my 97 gtp is a pretty big sleeper, also giving the fact that I have a good amount of money dumped in it. I love doing v8 fly bys

VW gti 2.0t is pretty underestimated. Friend has one pushing 260 on stock turbo and internals

There is a GLI and and GTI.

Its really not under estimated but unfortunatly their last gen R32 was a great car that was built to keep up with the EVO and STi but will never surpass it.
