another question, i have the block ripped apart. i was curious. since i have it apart and i want performance and its going into a 92 SL.
so now since its apart, im debating whether to convert it to TT or make it all motor NA.
which would be cheaper in the long run?
and easier to do with less tuning?

thanks,

obviously TT is going to cost a pretty penny, just ask EMC (eric) he's doing it right now. (search TT conversion) but for price per HP, turbo is the only way to get some serious HP out of you 3.0 so the choice is yours

it always comes to this, to TT you gotta know what your doing and have some cash to back it up, and if you stay NA, you'll just never have the speed you want.

yeah i know, i understand. im building the whole motor in my room, im just getting it machined right now, just .020 over and tanked , would you know if oem replacement (non mitsubishi) vr4 piston would hold up to like 15 pounds, i dont want to buy *** because its not really OEM you know what i mean? that does sound kindof confusing.
and also, would the stock FWD axles hold up to the massive hp increase? or where would i go about finding axles?

your going to have issues with the FWD transmission itself. The axles should hold up keep in mind everything over 300hp is going to be useless.

hmm, so what would be my best bet, since its apart i just ordered the vr4 pistons its now a 3.05 liter haha, so what should i do for the traction in the front? since a quaife is some extreme money haha. and pretty much the motor is going to be all stock, just with 0 miles and a slight valve job, and possible fmic.
what would you say my real limit is for that transmission?

Don't launch and avoid spinning the tires.

You could get an insert for the time being until you have cash for the right tranny

an insert? as in one of those block looking things with springs? i would figure with the low compression it wouldnt have much start off power?
did you complete your conversion?

the side of the turbo housing that forces the air to the intercooler. im kindof **** now, i ordered ARP rod bolts but its like 120 bucks more to have my rods machined to fit them. what a waste of 62 dollars lol oh well. i got my pistons and everything its beeing machines now .040 over wooo!
also, does anyone have a good way of removing valves with an over head valve spring compressor, cuz these **** retainers are so small and tight to the wall.
