Although many corporations, radio stations and consumers protested the merger, Feds allowed Sirius and XM merger today.. Now the question is what platform will they use? In other words, will xm's or Sirius's hardware become obsolete. Either way, i dont think they will create a system that will support both xm and sirius parallel, as it will cost them too much money. In other words, either cars will Sirius (e.i. lancers) or XM (ei. GM, Hyundai etc) will have no use of their satellite radios and will have worse resale value.

Thank you for the heads up. My neighbor works for XM. If I can pump her for info. I will do so and report back here. Hopefully she can give me some sort of clue as to what's what.

O.K....just talked to her husband....she was off today. Both he & she didn't know about this....she is supposed to work tomorrow.....if she finds out anything I will post it here. :57:
