hello all, i seem to have a problem with both side mirrors (powered). they just suddenly stopped working, i have checked the fuse its fine. any ideas will be muchly appreciated

1993 pajero gls 3l auto

222000km

power mirrors mostly on any car have a selector switch to adjust the left or the right mirror. If it sticks to the center neither side will work.

Most likely either the selector switch or the door control unit. Try removing the switches and check the contacts as they can get a bit corroded if water gets in.

Try to see if the controller unit is working. You may remove the power mirror and put 12 v supply to the 3 leads alternately to see if the motors are working. If the motors are working then it has to do with the relays.
