Hi Guys

I thought you might like to have a look at these and see how well this stuff works :) This was done through our US associates XPEL.

The First two pictures are right after the car came off the track you can see the wing and hood (carbon fibre) have been trashed by impacts in the non protected areas, the rear window was also blown out by track debris. The last two show the film being removed and the condition of the paintwork after removal. Of particular note, the vinyl graphics underneath the film were also untouched.

Background:

These photographs are of the Baldwin-Tafel Racing Team's #73 Mesco Building Solutions Porsche 911-GT3 that was entered in the Rolex 24-hour race held at Daytona International Speedway last weekend. They finished 4th in class and 13th overall. Would have had 3rd in class but had to pit for gas on the last lap. The car was pounded, carbon fiber broken on the fenders and the back windscreen was totally blown out.

XPEL Technologies Corp.'s clear paint protection kits protected the frontal impact areas of the vehicle. The X-Pel™ logo is also taking a high-profile ride on the car as seen beneath the racing team’s logo on both the right and left bumper areas in front of the wheels.

Racing legend Jack Baldwin, team owner, who teaches at Porsche’s high performance school, recently noticed the XPEL product on a number of the Porsches being driven at the school. Naturally, he wanted some protection for his vehicle, as endurance races are notoriously hard on paint. These kits were installed by XPEL’s Atlanta-based dealer

Cheers

Tom
