was driving about 35mph when there was a slip then surge then no transmission and check engine light powered at the same time.. coasted to a stop placed shifter in park then reverse, Drive, 1,2,3rd and lo and no movement just a racing engine. Fluid is topped off . No warnings other than a small slip and surge just before I pulled into the parking stall before the final event. what do you think it is and what kind of price are we looking at in Northern Cali? Money is a big issue right now.

What happened to your car? I have that same problem with 2003 Galant, it just delayed when pushing gas to go from stoplight. I am concerned in both my car and budget since I am a full time student.
Please reply what you did and any suggestion?
