i am new to the forum so i would first just like to say hi to everyone.
My 2000 GDi carisma gas motor, has almost 83000km on it it and as far as i know it has never had a major service. is there maybe some things i should consider getting done ie. timming belt, injectors and intake cleaned?
any suggestions would be of great help
thanks

the major service in the UK is at 54,000miles which includes timing belt replacement.there is no service interval for things like injectors or throttle body cleaning.only done on an as needed basis.typically I change the air and oil filters every service and the fuel filter every 3rd.spark plugs I would change at the 54,000service.changing the gearbox oil can be done every 36,000miles and the a/c should be serviced every 2-3 years(pollen filter yearly)

Hope this helps a bit

servicing cost can vary from area to area to acurately compare but a to remove and clean the throttle body takes about 30-45 minutes.it can be cleaned while on the car still but the job is far less effective and generally does not last as long before needing doing again
