Hi,
I have a 2001 Mistubishi Diamante Ls
Where to begin...

Right now the cars headlights will not come on until it has ran for approxiamtely 30 mins. This problem has got progressively worse before winter started it only took a few mins but now it has gotten really bad. So here is the scenerio.
Jump in car start it.
Headlights wont come on.
Instrument panel is lit up. heater functions radio functions etc..
Light which indicate which gear the car is in is off
cruise light will not come on by pushing the button
wipers wont wipe or sometimes they will.
If you open a passenger door the dome lights will come on dim all the way down then come on again just like they are flashing. Drivers door interior lights work normally.
Run Car for a while until engine is warm. Shut the car off start it again eventually the cruise light will begin to blink and the light that indicates the gear the tranny is in will blink when these lights blink i shut the car off then turn it back on and i have headlights and everything is functioning normally now.

However still sometimes while driving the wipers will wipe for no reason and the horn may honk.

??????

I don't know where to begin to troubleshoot this i have no diagrams. Should i just assume the whole computer is toast and look at trying to replace that.

Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris

these downloadable repair manual have wiring diagrams for your wiring
http://www.mitsubishi-forums.com/t32222-ma...ble-manuals.htm

use the second gen australian repair manual and see if that matches

the fuse and relay cluster in the engine bay is the place to start
disconnect the battery
undo the fuse box unit to check for melted or corroded wires
you may have relay problems

reset the computer by undoing the battery terminals

as you say the the car starts and runs so not likley
to be the engine management computer
