First question here on this forum.....

I'm going to get my wife a new car stereo for her birthday and install it but I have been looking and I CAN NOT seem to find a dash kit for the 2002 Lancer ES. Do I even need a dask kit or will a standard single DIN unit fit without the need for a dash kit? I am getting a wiring harness.

The dash is the same set up as my evo. You don't need a dash kit, just pull the knobs off climate control to expose the screws. Take the screws out and the rest is self explanatory.

Thanks for the reply. That is kinda what I thought but I didn't wanna get caught without all the parts when I go to put this thing in. It's going to be a surprise.....I hope!
