Hi,

Ive got an L200 with an engine speed control problem.

No management light is up and the problem is a little intermittent. In summary it will hold the RPM at around 1300 for a period of a 30 before allowing it to drop to normal.

When driving, the truck surges and holds back, as if to say there is a throttle problem.

I am lead to believe possible problems lie with the injector pump, throttle position actuator, pedal sensor...

Has any one any experience, or can provide any simple checks from home?

how's the vacuum system? maybe getting too much air in the intake after the throttle body?

possible fuel contamination?? or poss fuel filter blockage??
Any faults on throttle position may bring warning light on
