I drive to lunch today in my gst 5-speed and all is well. Get back in it to head back to the office and it won't start. It doesn't even turn over. All the lights work and I can turn the headlights on and they are plenty bright so I don't think it's the battery. Could this be a neutral start switch problem? Where is this switch so I can disable and test? I had to roll start it to get back to work. Thanks.

i should be able to hook up a voltmeter to the battery and test the starter, right? if it doesn't draw power then it is bad?

This may be a long shot but here goes. I had this problem once, what i did was jiggled the positive wire leading to the starter and then it turned right over. Apparently it came loose. Try that out, hopefully its that simple, but it rarely is.

Make sure your connections are tight on the starter. And then tap it a couple times. The starter that is.

had to roll start it to get it home but once there i was all set to check out the starter...but i still wasn't convinced that was it since there were no signs of it going bad. but when i turned the key i got nothing, no turning, no clicking, nothing. so i unhooked the (i assume) neutral start switch on the clutch and she fired right up!
thanks for all the help!
