Anyone care to share with me where the fuel filter is located on an '04 Galant with a four banger?

Thanks...

on a 2004 lancer it is part of a madule including pump and filter.there is a screen you can replace attached to the pump. it should be under back seat and a trap door to get to tank

It is under the rear seat. You have to remove a cover to access it. You will also have to disassemble the fuel pump assembly to install the new one. By the looks of it, it is a major pain in the arse.

Part number for the filter is MN176269.

Thanks for the info. I was not finding this anywhere else. I've not heard of a lifetime filter for a FI motor but I guess anything is possible.
