I saw something on Ebay that I am considering buying.....

Does this sound like something that will fit in the GTS?

Size: 18 x 8.0

Bolt Patterns: (Which One??)

5 on 108mm/4.25 - 112mm - 114.3mm/4.5 - 120mm/4.75 - 110mm - 100mm

Off-Set: 42mm

Finish Chrome/Blue

Its Ebay and getting your money back is a joke, so I need help w/ this one.

u need 5X114.3 bolt pattern... offset of 42mm might b okay but your width is 8" so i'm not sure... if it was 7.5 42mm should be fine. There are tonnes of tires you can get from wheelsnext.com for a pretty good price. There are a lot of US sites for cheap rims. I'm from Canada so i have to pay more since i don't want to order from the states and pay customs.

PS the gts stock rims offset is 45" so going out 3" more is not too bad but i am not sure how wide the GTS stock rims are

Whats the max offset you can have for 18" wheels?

I'm scoping the moda MD2s and they are 18x8 with a 50mm offset...
funny thing is the 19s are 45...

Make a friend near the border and get them to buy the rims on your behalf. Do you think customs would notice if your rims mysteriously changed during a day trip into the US?

Not that I condone that sort of behaviour...

What size tires would go good for this set up? (same wheel, just bigger)

Not interested in rubbing. But wanna fill up the entire wheel well.

20x8.50, offset=45mm, Bolt Pattern=5x114.3mm

And then... I found them in these two styles...

Which would you prefer?

BLACK & BLUE

OR....

CHROME & BLUE

Black and blue looks better I think. How much $ are they asking for them?

in 18" = $725/4 (no tires)

in 20" = $1019/4 (no tires)

Pricey, I know. I'm trying to fit everything into my budget, so I don't go overboard.

So if I buy these, I'll have to find deals on Injen CAI and Greddy Exhaust.

20s would be nice, it would stop me from spending $$$ on the Megan coilovers to lower it.

Found a couple shots, but none of Blue & Black...

Getting 18s and lowered would be more fun (lower centre of gravity=slightly better cornering) but if you want them only for looks then go with the 20s.

They are expensive rims, the one's I'm looking at are AUD$1600 (roughly $1500 US) including fairly soft compound tyres. That said the ones I'm thinking of aren't as striking as your rims.

James086:

Yeah, it might be a better idea to do 18s and drop it for the cornering, you're right!!
But I'd most likely have to do the Megans if I do that, so I could adjust the height, I dont want to be stuck at a certain drop and end up hating it.

I just got my dough today, so I'll be getting my gameplan together for hooking up my Lancer.
I'll probably do performance 1st (CAI, Exhaust) and then worry about rims.

Lewiman06:

I just like the rims, I dont really care too much for the car.

chetman7:

Yeah, they probably are heavy. Thats what you get when dealing w/ chrome.
With my plan to buy rims, I'm looking more towards sexy and less towards racing/speed stuff.

All:

I'm having second thoughts on buying the Rozzi Octane wheels... or rather I've found a competitor for my dough...

These...

What do ya think?

The 1st pic I saw of the 08 Lancer w/ custom rims was in this pic... This is very close (if not the same exact rims) so I like it.... so I'm gonna check prices/fitting tomorrow
