Hi there just registered and just got a used space star (2001) last week,
the car is in pretty good condition but there is this one detail that is making me ponder my recent deal...

The engine idle speed of the car is unusually low averaging round 600 rpm and even though the engine stays up with no problem i somehow don t feel comfortable with it...
Do you know if this kind of idle speed is normal ?
If not did anybody have a similar issue ?
Anyone knows how to solve in case i d like to regulate it myself ? i looked for the usual old screw ( :blush-anim-cl: i know that was prehistoric times!) to regulate the gas cable but could not find it meaning that probably it is only possible to do it via electronics...

thanks for reading, much appreciate any help

Marco :)

600 rpm is normal and saves fuel!
We have a Spacestar and a Lancer. Both running 600 rpm in idle mode:
No problems!
Some months ago the Lancerīs throttle cable got stuck: idle rpm was over 900 rpm: very inconvienient!

Peter
