Hi all, ive just bought a 1999 lancer 4door and am looking for a exhaust system. its a non-turbo and im looking for a nice sound, i live in the central west of NSW and can travel to bathurst and orange to get it installed. im wondering if anyone here has had a exhaust installed in any of these places and how mush they paid and what quality it was?... also any advice on what type of exhaust to get?... 2", 2.5" etc. thanks a heap! Jack.

even though at the top of this thread it says modifying path for the US version lancer it holds true to more than just the US version when talking about performance specs. i looked up the exhaust kit dimensions it recommends, i would make sure to go with a name brand possibly a Injen system as i have heard they are the loudest sounding exhausts here is a direct quote from the US modify post.

"Exhaust:
A straight through designed muffler is a big help. It is important to take the banana out of the
exhaust. 2 1/4 inch is ideal for this engine even if you plan to go turbo. Bigger is not better!
$200 - $500"

granted the $200 to $500 may be different, but it does tell you that the 2 1/4" exhaust is the best even for a turbo and believe me bigger really isn't better. as far as how much it will cost and and where you can get it i don't know as i live in the US in California. so hopefully someone else can help you with the rest.
