Help... yesterday I took my 96sl to a local car wash here in Vientiane (capital of Laos). They drive it up on a rack where they power wash the underside also. Apparently after that it wouldn't start.... (they coasted it down the rack). After all the normal battery connection checks.... still nothing. When you turn the ignition key, there is no starter motor turning, nothing. All the lights, everything else work. They (car wash folks) bump started it and I drove it home. I suspect the water power jet wash underneath did something... somewhere... Hopefully not totally ruined but... dislodged? Anyway... any help is appreciated.... as you know... you can't really slide under the car to take a look.

Hi did you get it sorted.

I washed my vr galant last week and as soon as i parked it it died.

Battery was dead and in the case of the starter i need brushes for the motor.

Costed me about $15 bucks and i did the change myself.

Hope this helps. Get the or a mech to check the brushes on the motor.
