What do you guys think about this? doing it for a friend, racing a cobra who thinks mitsu's are slow. i know i'm still stock turbo but i believe i'm pushing at least 235-240 with my mods.

As much as I hate mustangs and as much as I don't want to say it but that cobra will blow the doors off of your eclipse.

Honestly I hope you do beat him cause I hate that car. It takes the fun out of building your engine but good luck man you're gonna need it.

well, like i said, i got my boost up to 17 and it feels like a completely different car. yanks back hard in second. and i'm working my launch really hard. even if he out cars me maybe i can out drive him. if he thinks eclipses are slow i wouldn't expect him to know how to drive.

210 stock, so the underdrive pulley (mach 5, good one) free's up at least 5. full down pipe and exhaust (3") about 10 or so. and boosting 17PSI, another 5 or 10. intake plugs wires (3-6)
so i figured threw my mods i gained at least, bottom line 20HP, that puts me at 230. and i've got kuhmo supra tires (225) huge help on the launch. i hope to be in the high 13's.
but, the only way to find out is to run it i guess.

that cobra's also pushing 390hp and only weighs about 300 or 400 pounds more than your eclipse.

well your car runs like mid to low 15's stock and it's FWD, with just those mods I don't think you're gonna break into high 13's.

not saying i "WILL" do it, i'm saying my car CAN do it. i have to gain complete controll of it first.

go to the pinned section of the 1/2g cars, and look at what attack posted about "noobs need to know" or something like that. its a link to moding the 2g. with mods that i have (excluding the downpipe, which helps a lot) i should be 13.5-13.9. but its all speculation til it hits the track.

all i'm doing is trying to put a cocky kid to bed. even if i don't win and come in close on his a$$ he has to live with barely beating a "stock turbo" gst.
what would happen to him when a medium modified gsx rolls up.

well I'm guessing that this same topic is basically being covered in 2 different posts and didn't you say that this kid wants to do this in his mom's car? I mean listen even if you lose at least you have the dignity of not having to ask your mother for her car keys everytime you wanna go out for a ride.

I just saw this thread. Lewiman, i hate to tell you this, but with those mods you are yet to hit 200 whp. 2nd, you can't get 17 psi out of the t-25, and if you continue to run more than the 14 psi that turbo can handle it will be a short matter of time before teh turbo dies. Even if he doesn't know how to drive, he will win.
