I recently bought an 05 2005 Colt 1.3 Elegance which I have noticed drifts to the left occassionally. Its only done 20000 miles and seems to be an intermittent fault. I took it back to the dealer and they said all Mtsubishis are designed to drift to the left for 1 metre in 200 metres of driving in case the driver falls asleep at the wheel!
Has anyone else noticed this on their Colt? Having checked the tyre pressures im sure the car hasnt had a knock at the front. Any ideas?

I think you should check toe-in and correct it. :blush-anim-cl:

could anyone give a confirmation that "all Mtsubishis are designed to drift to the left for 1 metre in 200 metres of driving in case the driver falls asleep at the wheel"??? :o_75:

the drifting to the left thing is a load of rubbish!

if you are drifting then it puts strain on one side of the tyre more than the other and causes uneven wear

ask yourself this - what about the left hand drive folks - do they drift to the right? what if you're on a roundabout? what if you are in the fast lane on the motorway?

absolute bull :P
