That is great ! in more worlds ? :-) how the bust build up ? less turbo lag ? fuel consuption ? :-)
If I will, i woud with Ecutek... it is Mitsu specif and available in Hungary. but ecutek is just the key for the ecu the biggest part is depend on the tuner.

hello!
its just an amasing difference, its just raw power!!but the stock exhaust has to go soon..they have tested it WAY over 400nm but its too much resitance in the srock exhaust and it gets hot....so going for exhaust next and cold air to airfilter.
when i drove home yesterday the fuel consumption was down at 8,2/100km...today i was a long trip...then i drover 120km/t at the highway...then it was down at 9/100km....so its under 1litre on 10km and that is nice!the best measurement i had before mapping was 460km on 48litres of gas...

i have to drive the car some more to get a full opinion...but i dont have to take the gears down anymore :57:

they had my car for 4days...the first ECUTEK outlander in norway,so it was some problems along the way.but they where in constant contact with ECUTEK in england...and the guys were working to 11 at night every day from monday-thursday....so a big PLUSS to them!!and ECUTEK ofcourse... :gunsmilie:

Hello!

Pics are now under the tuningplace from the engine+exhaust etc. I was wrong about my lamda, itīs placed directly after racecat. We had it like std car before first and then moved it.

One suggestion, if you can make a deal with those mapping yr car. Pressure, fuel/air mix=lambda, ignition, and combustion chamber fill up=valve timing/ignition is different driving with std exhaust. The max pressure all other settings are hold back because the heat with high resistance in std exhaust/downpipe would heat up and "kill" engine.

Since these cars has a crazy built exhaust and std ECU is drowning engine in fuel the parameters set for this std system is completely different. The parameters with all figures to the engine is now set not to overheat engine. That means lower boost, different air/fuel mix and other parameters. Ask them to personify yr car after building downpipe/exhaust.

I was in direct contact all the time during the problems at Ecutek to develop and entering the ECU. The "hackers" couldnīt get into to the ECU until this late autumn. Any other tuning company saying that you donīt need another mapping...hmm pls ask them to check with these guys :) Copy:

Hello Tomas

Thank you for your detailed email.

EcuTeK software can support the Outlander turbo model.

The software is still in BETA testing but all seems to be OK , JRM already have access to this new hardware and software.

Please contact Rikard or Joakim from JRM direct.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require any further information

Best Regards.

i know i know..

the tuningfirm here in norway had my car for 4 days,in constant contact with ECUTEK in england. They had some problems with MAP sensor readings and so on.i know the peak of the turbo pressure is 1.2bar.so this is the first tuned in norway, and it kicks alot after the mapping!im very statisfied even if i have stock exhaust.but ill rebuild the exhaust soon, and add cold air intake!
so we will see after the exhaust is done, maybe ill even buy the WRC cat,its a BIG difference on racecats too!!and the WRC kicks **** :57:

Congrats! Looking for your next experiences with new extra power!

Did you really mean MAP sensor? As far as I know Outlander Turbo do not have MAP (Manifold Air Pressure), but only MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor. Or did JRM install the MAP sensor to get better fail-safe features out of the ECU?

Hello Crazynor.

Some importants questions:
I saw your dynotest and I am impressed. If I read correctly you have 37.5 NM of torgue (is the same as the kgm?) and 252 hp. And these are measured in the wheel! That means that the actual could be 280-290!
Have you done a dynotest before the mapping? And if yes which was the result?
What kind of gas do you use? (100 octanes or other?)
And what the guys in the tuning company said to you if you change the exhaust?
That they will need to reprogram the car?
Regards

Great numbers !!! I'm impressed.

Suppose to get much more when you built the exhaust system as well.

Could you clarify whether these numbers measered at engine or at the wheels ?

hello!!

this is engine horsepower!
octane 98.about the exhaust, they supposed around 15hp,and alot more torque.they had tested it way over 400nm but the exhaust got to varm because of the cat and small downpipe...and yes they will have to reprogram the car...but hey, thats ok because then ill see what difference it is with another exhaust

Crazynor I insist. Did you do a dynotest before the reprogramming?
Furthermore did they advice you to change the intercooler also?

the intercooler will do for now they said.but like everyone says: more cool air the better.
but im not gonna change the intercooler, not for a long time i think....
