ok i have study alot about mitsubishi and performance my self and engines.

however i realize that if anyone out know that this is possible for the base which is

a 3000gt base model (6g72) to swap the head of a 3000gt vr4 (6g72tt) it the same

engine but higher compression which if u rip half the motor and rebuild the

internals to lower compression i dont think that would be a probelm has anyone

else out have though about the vr4 HEAD SWAP i mean same engine code it

should be a direct bolt and you have to get a compeleted different engine. the only

other ? is that if it does works, then why do people do a full swap thanks you please let me know what you think.

Theres no difference.

Its the pistons and addition of oil squirters, and cams.

so then why do others do the full swap. i mean your are spending alot more when u can just get the head and rebuild the bottom end that would be much better in my opinon i think??!

Because the 6G72 and the 6G72TT have the same head.

This is not a Honda where we have to different versions of the same motor... Well we do but the difference is the crank shaft.

Read my first post.

The AWD conversion is difficult because the chasis is different between the turbo and non turbo models.

There's a lot of little things involved when you TT your N/A engine. The TT's are so cheap right now though, you're almost better off just selling yours and buying one.

If his is a 94, then it'll bolt up.

well this is the thing right here. you avg now-a-days costs for the vr4 around 5 grand. now i found a dohc non turbo (i just got the anwser from this guy) for 1900.
that why i was wondering if u can just go to a junkyard a buy a head it throw it on your car. with stronger block of course.

You understand the head between the two cars is identical

The motor is identical,

The differences

pistons and rods

Oil squirter holes actually have the oil squirters
