 Roof Rack For 07 Xls, What should we get?

I just helped my friend buy an 07 Outlander XLS over the weekend. She wants to get the cross bars on top for her Kayak as well as a hitch on back for her bike rack. What roof rack / cross bars should we get and is that something we can install ourselves? I'm assuming the hitch would be pretty standard. She already has the bike rack from her last vehicle. Any information is helpful. Thanks.
