guys, is there a way to fix the digital compass/thermometer? i tested the main socket supply and it gave me a reading. but how come the compass does not work? is there anyway it could be fixed or simply replace it?

you can replace them, but it's going to ba a little expensive, when i had to change the inclinometer on my montero it was $175.00 and they wanted to charge me $25.00 for installing it, I just went to a second hand seller and bought the whole console with the Oil pRessure Gauge, Volt Meter and Inclinometer for $40.00

you're right. its very very expensive to buy at mitsubishi. i just hope i could find a surplus of it

You may try opening it if you are electronic-repair inclined. Those capacitors with leaks can be found and should be replaced. Did one in the auto mirror folding controller. Be sure to replace with same values.
