[B]I have a 93 Verada which goes from 1st gear to third gear missing 2nd all together. I have been to a auto mechanic and he reckons a band has broken and the transmissions needs to be pulled and reconditioned.

Could it be electrical or a computer problems, I think this guy just wants the money.

Any ideas???
