So apparently my brother has been telling his friends that my car is faster than their cars, and it would appear someone took him up on that challenge. He told me the other day that the brother of one of his friends has a Mustang Mach 1, and that his friend told him that the Mach 1 could beat my Eclipse. So i grilled my bro for more information, and just about the only thing he knows about the other car is that its a Mustang Mach 1. he thinks it might be a 2004, but hes not sure on that. He says that he doubts the Mach 1 is supercharged, or has any mods for that matter, because his friend would have mentioned that. he also doesnt know if its a manual or auto transmission mustang.

My GSX has a s16g turbo and all the supporting mods. I have a boost gauge but it isnt wired up; and im sure that would be something worth knowing in this little discussion.

How would my GSX hold up to a Mustang Mach 1 from a dig? I dont care what kind of Mach 1 you want to compare my GSX to, super charged, non-supercharged, auto tranny, whatever; I just want a general idea of what people think will happen.

Discuss.

EDIT: Its a Mustang GT Mach 1, NOT AN SVT COBRA!

Mach 1's come with 305hp stock and 320tq. I have one. To the wheels they get 280 and 295.

Chances are, you wont beat him. Mine will run a 12.6 to a 12.8.

just because i car can beat another with numbers doesnt mean it will win.. i beat a svt cobra with my eclipse when it was stock.. the driver really does matter. i see the svt every week and every week he still is driving like a mentally challenged porta rican kid...

now that my car is heavily modified its a fun ride home from the car meet because he goes the same way. after a minute i seem to lose him though?.. :)
