OK i just put a cold air intake on my 2001 eclipse gs and my check engine light comes on a few days later ive been to two dealers and they both tell me its my intake system give my car to much air <_< i think they are stupid or something i took it to advance auto and had them hook it up to there machine and they tell me that there are two sensor that are screwing up one is not responding all together and the other has slow response. on a note i did hook my stock intake back up and everything works fine :blink: I dont know whats going on please someone show me the light. :(

I know they tell you to disconnect your battery while installing the intake and then reconnect it so that your ECU "learns" your new intake (I think that's the exact wording from the AEM installation instructions). I didn't do this with mine when I installed it though :o but have had no problems. Perhaps that's your problem.

But yeah, I think the dealers you're talking to are full of it - from everything I've heard a CAI will only improve the engine's operation as long as it's properly installed.

make sure all of the hoses are connected. and also reset the ECU like mozart said
