As I mentioned before, I'm selling my '08 Lancer. I've had it on Autotrader for 2 moths now and not a soul called or inquired about it. My original prices was $15K, I changed it to $14K 3 weeks ago, still nothing. Car is in perfect condition and I have not had ANY problems with it (yet). Is $14K a good price on manual ES with 13K miles on it? I mean after all it is an asking price, how come no inquiries :(

Hey SimmoES....have you tried going to Edmunds.com & seeing what your car is worth?
I'm sure you have done your bit of research, but maybe another place for you to try out?
Sux no one has even checked it out. I know you were looking for something else, but what about just trading it in on the new ride & using the tax money you get from it to help with the purchase?
Still thinking about the Subie Roo?

I don't believe it's your pricing. My local Mitsu dealer had a white GTS with 17,000miles for $15,999. Have to be careful not to go too low on lowering your price thinking it would create more interest. You don't see dealers doing that and you shouldn't either.

It's tough for a buyer to put down $14,000-15,000 for a private own car even though there's still warranty on the car. There's a fear factor of 'is there something wrong with the car'. Can't go back and cry about it like you could with a dealer. Just my two cents...:P Good luck.

Dealers usually add at least $1500-$2000K, sometimes more onto the price of what they paid. His asking price to me sounds good. This goofy economy is what's puttin the slow down on his sale IMHO.
You could always goto Carmax if your in a hurry to sell....but with the car, you will have to hand them over your a$$, an arm & a leg. They don't offer the best prices.
E-Bay is loaded with Lancers....the used car books are pretty much empty in Chicago here with the 2008's. Not sure how it is by you, but people are just holding onto their cash & waiting to see what's up with this goofy world.

Unfortunately, neither KBB nor Edmunds have 2008 Lancer listed under used cars yet :(. And since there were no 2007 lancers, I cant even get a ballpark out of it. At this point I might just trade it in when im ready. And yes, im definitely interested in Scoobie :) They got 0% APR and Huge lease deals. right now
