hey guys i just bought an 07 GS a few days ago, the previous owner put aftermarket exhaust on it (not sure what brand or anything but it sounds nice) but other than that its all stock as far as i know.

i was just wondering what some of the cheaper mods to add horsepower would be?? and what the better sites to find them would be?

i kinda want to get a blow off valve but i havent researched them much yet so NO i do not know alot about them but i hear there cheap (i know it doesnt improve HP but it would mostly complete the sound of my car lol)

but i was also thinking maybe getting a new chip for my car or something along those lines if i remember right usually that has good bang for your buck...

anyway like i said im new to alot of this stuff so any advice would be awesome and ill do my best to learn as fast as possible so i dont always sound this new lol.

ok and last thing, this is just me being curious not really considering trying it... atleast not this early BUT i know the 2nd gen eclipse's had different engine so like the RS and GS werent compatible with the GST and GSX engine so if you wanted to swap you had to replace like everything not just the engine. anyway my question is are the GS and GT 4th gen eclipse compatible? is it possible to put a GT engine in a GS without changing everything under the hood? lol thanks for the help and advice!

First off why would you want to put a blow off valve on a non turbo car?

No you wouldn't be able to put the 3.8 V6 out of a GT in a GS without changing everything under the hood.

yeah see i told you i was stupid the first part of the blow off valve question was supposed to be what r the options for putting a turbo in the car? now i know performance wise i would be better off trying to get a GT and then upgrading things from there but with insurance prices for someone who is male and 21 y/o i figured this might be a cheaper route to go, also i dont think i could afford the payments on a gt at this current point in my career...

anyway thanks for dealing with my lack of knowledge i am just trying to map out all the possibilities i have right now.

Do you have an intake? Is there a cone shaped filter under your hood or a big box made out of plastic(usually)? If your answer is the second, your next cheapest step is to get an intake either short ram or cold air style, your going to make someone mad, they might kick their dog or beat their child, no chips for the 3g and i think its safe to assume none for the 4g either, especially off of Ebay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah, there isnt much out there for 07 GS owners other than body kits, exhaust, fog light kits, cold air intakes....I have seen some sites that there are turbos available for it (you could do your cold air intake then!) haha but the turbos are from $1800 to $3000 that I saw in googling. Thing is with Eclipses, since they first came out they mostly did the high speed type stuff only to the V6s and forgot that some people like 4cyl especially for gas mileage if you dont run the air conditioning.
