only my left pipe blows????? what does this mean in this pic it's the same thing ?? does anyone know what it means? By the way i don't have any problems with thecar.

your only getting exhaust out of your left pipe. well, i'm not 100% sure on the GTO, but i know on the 3kgt, the left one comes straight back from the muffler, the right one comes off of the middle of the muffler and loops over to the right side. may be the pipe comming off is bad/clogged or something simular or the muffler may need to be replaced. (internal failure of some type) if it were my guess, i'd say muffler.

gto is a japanese version of 3kgt. Come to think of it my right muffler is a little dented in but just the tip of it... i the exhaust pipe is fine i don't see how could this effect blowing off smoke..

Does the GTO have the same "active exhaust" that the VR4 has?

If so then its stuck in sport mode.

Hey mine is the same, i was told that the reason for this is that the exhausts fumes find the easiest way out whilst running idle. When you put your foot on the accelerator fumes will come out of both.
I've noticed this on all the gto's i have had and have looked at.
