Has anyone heard when/if new updates will be available for the Mitsubi Navigation System? I have had a 2007 Outlander XLS for six months and, for the most part, I have enjoyed driving it. I use the Nav System frequently and it has been extremely useful. That said, on several occasions, at least according to the Nav System, I have been driving in fields/forest/or on water! While the roads didn't seem all that new, the Nav System was not aware of them. If I am reading the codes correctly, my Nav software is a 2005 version...so my questions are: 1) is there a more recent version; 2) who do I contact to get it; 3) how much will it cost; and 4) how I will I know when future updates are available?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

A software update was released in November 2007 and is available from the dealer.

Hi I have gone to the Mitsubishi dealer in Coconut Creek FL and they are not helpful. My Nav system is horrible. It gives me directions that do not make sense. It leads to me I95 whether it is best route or not. The FL Turnpike is clearly the best route and the Nav System will lead me to I95. I have programmed Not to avoid toll roads.

This is really annoying.

Anyone have any suggestions.

I've had something similar happen, although there are no toll roads near me. It has to do, according to the dealer, with the speed limits, mileage calculations, etc in the map data. If one parameter is incorrect, it will think another route is 'better.' It makes sense, and I've seen the same answer posted elsewhere online for other navigation systems.
