The last couple of times i have been out in my Gto TT and got home, the turbo timer is telling me i need to keep my car running for 5 and half minutes. Usually its only about 1 and a half minutes.

My turbo timer is automatic and regulates how long i need to give my car to cool down etc.

Anyone have any ideas to as why this might be?? I'm not travelling any further or thrashing the car. Just normal use.

Any help would be appreciated :)

Cheers

Carl.

Got a feeling i might have manually set the timer. Somehow whilst trying to turn it off at the petrol station. I'll take a look when i get home!!!

If your on the stock 9B turbos or any other turbo which utilizes water cooling you don't really need a turbo timer.

Just let it sit for ten seconds or so at idle just like any other car and your fine.

But what turbo timer do you have?
