I have been searching for headers for my GTS but am not having much luck. Can anyone point me to a site that still sells them?

Thanks

Are these headers off of tearstone.com direct bolt on or do they require some fab work to get them in place?

If they're made specifically for your engine than they should be straight bolt on and no fabrication should be required. And if there is fab work required then they sold you a piece of crap header that was not meant for your car in the first place and you got screwed. But like I said if it's a site that you trust, then they should send you the right one and there shouldn't be any fabrication work required.

Not necessarily true.

The LONG tube headers are not a direct bolt on as they are meant for a car removing emissions, replacing out to a HFC, etc. The SHORT tube headers are designed for street use and are in fact a direct bolt on system.

Before you spew out your opinion, you may want to ensure its a valid comment.

Did you even read the product description??

Long Tubes -
QUOTE
Note: Succesful installation of these headers requires modification of the stock downpipe to be flanged to bolt up to these headers. These headers DO NOT bolt directly up to your cat-back.

Short Tubes -
QUOTE
The RPW system is designed to bolt up to the original cat back exhaust with the purchase of the RPW high flow cat section or test pipe with no modifications needed. No welding or fitment of flanges, everything is pre manufactured to bolt right up.

Point taken, I must have missed that. I think I may go with the short tube headers since they will not require any addtional fabrication.

Shorties will give you better low end gains anyhow, which I think you would be more satisfied with on a street driven car.

The only Long Tube Headers that bolt up are designed by HyTech, which are actually what I have on my promo car. Granted, HyTech's are roughly $1500 or so, RPW Longtubes are a budget way of getting longtube performance without a high price tag. Even with the additional cost in modification to have them mount up, you still come in less than the HyTech cost.

Food for thought.
