If we had the solution, it would definitely be stickied. Oh wait... it is.
DRL BypassIt's not the solution we are all looking for, but it gets the job done. You can do Option #3 twice and create 2 modded cables for both of your low beams. This way, your DRLs won't turn on, but your lowbeams will still function just like any other car. Other solutions include routing your DRLs to your foglights (easy) or splicing them into your city lights (hard, haven't done this).
An easy way to route DRLs to the foglights is to buy the following:
2 9006 extension cables
2 H11 extension cables
*Both can be easily found by contacting any HID merchant*
***ONLY DO STEPS 3.H AND 4.H IF THIS IS FOR AN HID SETUP!***HIDs will not need all 4 cables... so you will be wasting one cable :(1.) Take 1 9006 cable and 1 H11 cable, cut them in half, switch the heads, solder them back together, and wrap them up. Repeat this for the remaining 2 cables. You should now have 2 9006 to H11 conversion cables and 2 H11 to 9006 conversion cables.
2.) Unplug both foglight cables from the bulbs and attach the H11 to 9006 conversion cables to the foglight cables.
3.) Unplug both lowbeam cables from the bulbs and attach the 9006 to H11 conversion cables lowbeam cables.
-3.H) Unplug both foglight cables from the bulbs and attach ONE H11 to 9006 conversion cable to your left foglight cable.
4.) Route the extended foglight cables up the frame and connect them to both lowbeam bulbs.
-4.H) Route the extended foglight cable up the frame and connect it to the HID harness.
5.) Route the extended lowbeam cables down the frame and connect them to the foglight bulbs.
6.) Close everything up.
With this setup, your lowbeam switch will control your foglights and your foglight switch will control your lowbeams. Your foglights will run as your DRLs. When you turn on your lowbeam switch to city lights, they will still run in DRL. When you turn it on to the ON position, your fogs will run in full power and you will have the ability to turn the foglight switch, which will activate your lowbeams.
I did not steal this method from vik2rius from 4B11Lancers.com, but it IS the reason why I wrote this up. This method allows you to keep all your OEM cables intact and is a simple plug-and-play with minor soldering and the only downside is you waste one cable for HIDs... big whoop (not so bad if you have a friend doing using the same method... they buy 1 9006 cable and 1 H11 and you can "donate" your extra cable  ). I apologize in advance for not supplying any pictures, but I never really did this method (it's all on paper actually lol). Personally, I don't think pictures are necessary since it's a simple chop and swap, so use your imagination :)
Enjoy!
