 Egr Valve Trouble., How the EGR valve can be cleaned?

Hello every one
I have a Mitsubishi Carisma 1.9 Di-D (75 kW) from 2002.
Is there someone who can tell me how to clean the EGR valve?
I all ready tried to get it out but something keep it fixed.
Of course I unscrewed those 3 screws but the EGR valve has refused to get out. Something keeps the valve fixed whitout the screws.
