well when the car is cold it doesnt make a sound however when it warms up you can hear a tapping coming from the back of the intake or rear head. It doesnt get louder with revs only faster and sometimes it doesnt even do it. does anybody have any ideas on what it could be? i will be draining the oil tonight to check for metal. thanks for the help

sounds like one of your lifters is leaking off!
