Hello all. I figured I would put this one here since I just currently had this problem. About a month and a half ago I went to the dealer for a price quote to have my clutch changed in my car. The dealer quoted me $1300. $450 for parts and $850 for labor. Well they were way off. First off the clutch cost me $530 by itself. Secondly and the reason for this post is the flywheel is a dual friction setup and I was told (by numerous machine shops) that there was no way to resurface it. If you take your car to the dealer be prepared to pay about $850 for a new flywheel on top of whatever they quote you. I am putting this out there hoping that if someone does take their car to the dealer to have their clutch changed they are prepared to buy a new flywheel. It was a huge surprise to me when I got my car torn apart this past weekend.

Its considered a normal wear part and isnt covered by the warranty.
