Well I called up WORKS today & asked them what they had new coming out if anything. The guy there told me that they have a short ram air intake coming out for our car maybe as soon as 1 month...possibly longer.

They are also talking about coming out with a new style actual muffler & not just a pipe.


He also said that the flash program would be out very soon.


Finally he told me that he heard from the guys there that they would be working on a new performance program for the CVT. That will be a while off though

Like to see what the new muffer looks like.... wonder how it will sound. Guess just have to wait and see.

I'm just sitting back & waiting & waiting on all the new stuff that should be out by Christmas. So many companies are doing stuff for our cars......

I couldn't agree more with you. The 08' Lancer seriously needs a quieter exhaust system to be developed. (Greddy, RRM are WAY TOO loud for some)

The people at works had a great thing going at first with their axel-back until pictures revealed it is nothing more then a straight pipe. WTF? lol....sigh

I'm with you on that.......I want something that has a nice growl to it without it screaming at you or attracting attention. That & one that actual gives you some added power. Plus the fact that the WORKS exhale has a perfect size tip. I know for a fact that if I get an exhaust with a tip that is too big....my bro would get stupid on me & start stuffing things in there just to be a dik.

Maybe 1 month to wait....but still. They charge way too much for their "exhaust" right now. I can only imagine what they will charge for this one

One thing the guy told me. They are having 10% off right now on everything I think. Call & double check. Still 10% off, the exhale is STILL too expensive ($251.10). All that for just a tip. Maybe when the new version V.2 is out....maybe it will give you more HP & TQ over the standard tip version.

Soon we shall know.

Yeah I was told the Works Muffler delete would not pass the safety by my mechanic.

NICE NUMBERS! But I am with what another guy said.......have the computer run at a lower octane & maybe get a little less HP & I would be fine with that. I know running the higher gas would benifit the tune.....but maybe in the future they can come out with something that would run on either 87 or mid grage....that would be great!. But then again.....their asking price for this is kinda high. Actually....all things from WORKS is priced kinda high IMO, but as usual, you get what you pay for & I would rather pay a little more to get a better quality product.

I don't know what is up with WORKS...but they need people over there to answer the phones. When I call....noone answers & you can't leave a message cuz the VM is always full.
I just wanted to find out about those newer products & see if they have an actual eta on em.....has anyone heard yet?

There ecu flash program is out and has a dyno, havent heard anything about any of the other projects.

Well I finally got a hold of them today & I asked again about the open filter air intake & they say it is still in the works.....

Asked about the new style performance muffler......same answer



Asked about the computer & was told that it makes 10HP & an extra 8lbs TQ. All starting low & thoughout the entire range.

I was thinking about getting a dual split WORKS AB exhaust... what do you think?

I talked to Bill at WORKS again......seems that he wasn't aware that they were working on a AB with a actual muffler.

I asked AGAIN about the newer intake that one of the guys there claimed was coming out. YES it is still coming out & he said that it could still be 2-3 months away! No other information is available as of yet.

They are basically coming out with stuff for the EVO & kinda like...if they have extra time they are making things for the regular Lancers. Very cool either way.
By years end...there should be more from them for our cars. Just the waiting part stinks BIG TIME!
