does anybody like the full size mini choppers? i know being that they are only 200CC or less engines they aren't that fast, but that being the case they are so fuel efficient its crazy and with a full size tank they drive between 600-800 miles on one fill up. they can go as fast as 85MPH and they look so good. i found some for under a grand brand new. what do you all think? should i buy one once i get my tax rebate?

here is a link to the ones i found on craigs list.

they are ok. good for the money and gas. but do you really want to be in one of those on a highway and have a real one just blow by you and you're stuck there like, ummm........ thumb in butt.

well considering mine will cost almost 1/10 of what theirs cost them, and i'm going to be getting 2 times the mileage, i'd say yeah. those full size mini choppers are just a motor mounts, engine swap, rear sprocket, and rear tire away from becoming a real chopper. i'd rather just have a nice looking bike than a 12,000 dollar bike that can go 140MPH. plus i'm much more of a cruiser fan with bikes than a speed fan. i had a 94 Honda CBR600 and i took it up to 160 on the freeway once. that amount of speed on 2 wheels was insane, and i'd much rather have a nice easy rider than a speed machine for that type of application.

i seem to hear people say i look like some dude from a huge hardcore rock band(i won't say which one kuz i don't want people looking at my profile pic and saying, "those people are crazy.") and that i should go out and buy me a chopper. i have wanted a chopper since i got rid of my crotch rocket. i look at it as a open opportunity that it just so happens i found a brand new full size chopper with a mini chopper motor in it for less than $600 right before we all got our tax rebates back.

Ill just take my ZX-6 and its 48mpg and call it a day.

Oh... and I call b.s. on the 160mph. The CBR 600F-600F4i can only do 140.
