All the ones I've seen seem pretty new tho, cuz they haven't even tinted their windows yet.

How come everyone is obsessed with getting their windows tinted? Getting my windows tinted is the last thing on my to do list.

1) RalliArt is not out yet. Some dealers are taking Pre-Orders, without even definite price on the car yet. What you see rolling on the streets is either a) EVO b)ralliart wanna bees, where its actually homeboys buying Lancers and putting $$ into it to make it look like a ralliart c) something imported from Japan

2) Stop talking about tint people, this is RalliArt thread.

Try living in Texas where its 115.... you would want you windows tinted :P

But yeah.... the ralliart isn't due out till later. you can't order one and have them ship it over. They are going to bring them over enmass. Can't wait to get the taillights or some cheaper knockoff lol.

I didnt mean order through dealer. i meant import yourself from europe/asia. But most likely, its either EVO or knockoffs that he saw around orlando

This months Automobile magazine quoted the Ralliart as 90% of the EVO's fun factor at 2/3's the price. A clear winner in their book.

I'll take a pic if I see them again.... I took it for granted that they were out already.

If I knew it was like seeing sasquatch (bigfoot), I would asked for him to pull over and let me take a pic.

Hey, maybe they did bring it over... they're are quite a few ppl with bank in orlando, or at least mommy & daddy have big bank.

It had to be a Ralli tho, cuz i'm not really into the ralliArt.

I like the EVO X.

well I love how, they are imported thru seattle... but they have not been seen on the west coast, east coast, or midwest. But the most SOUTHERN TIP of the US, AKA, AMERICAS WANG supposedly got one down there...

I'm shocked nobody pointed this out... but the Mazda 6 looks pretty darn similar to our Lancers. Perhaps you saw one zoom by and assumed it to be a Ralliart? The color palette between the 6 and the Ralliart are near identical, including the copper/bronze. I've seen numerous 6's that made me do a double take because I thought it was a Lancer.

*2008 Lancers are still a relatively rare car in Chicago, but they are becoming more common*

yeah i have noticed some distinctive similarities with the mazda6. in general they share a somewhat mean or agile look to them. but at closer examination they seem so different. i always double take when i see one thinking its my car.
where i live i have only seen about 2 lancers besides my own which is definetly an awesome feeling. people ALWAYS turn their heads and watch me drive by b/c its just an uncommon car on the roads right now haha

I'm gonna agree with ya! Chances are it was a mod or something that someone who didn't know cars would mistake maybe?

Well the Mazda 6s are a direct competition for our cars. I don't see many similarities but oh well

ok, lets not get emotional. I didnt mean to make anyone uncomfortable or get their panties in a bunch.

And I could care less if you call out the south as I am not from here.

I looked the 2 I saw over pretty well, and I'm pretty sure they weren't mazdas. Mitsu logo was a dead giveaway. They looked exactly like the pics I've seen of the RalliArt.
One of them was rollin with about 3 other lancers from older years in a crew.

But hey, do what you do, I have zero reasons to lie, like I said I'm not even a fan of it.

** BTW, nice gif. I bet you're a master at grabbing poles and probably do it as a profession. :bwekk: **

It could have been Mitsu doing road tests on the Ralliart to see how it performs.

I had a similar experience with the BMW 335I. I was in Santa Barbara about several months before the new redesigned 3 series was suppose to be released. Anyway, I was cruising when I spotted a 335I. It had no license plate and was black.

After hours of searching around, i found a thread on the road and track forums. Two different people said that the 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart car brochure was available at the Mitsubishi Dealership.

He said the Brochure listed the car at a starting price of $25,455 and could cost as much as $27,500.

Anybody seen any scans of these brochures or live close enough to pick one up or see if they have them?

Nearest Mitsubishi dealer is about a 20 minute drive for me.

Called the dealership today ( I live in IL, Chicago) and they told me that the ralliart is coaming out in late Fall, early winter (again, might be earlier in CA). I really hoped that it would come out somewhen in the summer since I do need a car right now but ohh well...Ill just stick to getting the GTS. What do you guys think about trading the GTS for ralliart when it comes out thought? It is going to be worth it? THanks!

I also contacted my buddy at Mitsubishi and he also said that the Ralliarts come out this fall... he said the only problem right now is that there are alot of pre orders and the dealerships and limited to only so many at a time. So, for example, if there are 12 pre orders and the dealership is limited to 10... only the first 10 get theres on first ship. Sort of suck... but if you really want one... whatever....

I also asked about trade-in prices.. just because. The dealership just had a guy trade in his 08 Lancer GTS fully loaded with under 10k and they only gave him $17,600. Thats a huge loss in cash.

I like the ralliarts... but I'm gonna wait until I get about even with my lancer now and than upgrade... but I'll probly jump to the EVO by than.
