I noticed now that the 2009 lancer is on Mitsubishis website they have new accessories available.
All Weather Mats
Alloy Fuel Door
Front Mud Guards(I think only the rear were available before)

I'll have to get the all weather mats, but will wait till winter for those. I'm worried about the sides getting scratched, will the front mud guards keep the sides from getting scratched?

You might as well get the all weather mats now since it's summer time seeing as how nobody really needs them in warmer weather. Everybody will be buying rubber mats during winter for the obvious reasons. Plus, rubber mats usually have a mild odor that you can only really get rid of by breaking them in. Do it now and save your nose in the winter :)

As far as the mud guards go, I live in Chicago and the winter has torn our streets to shreds and I have YET to find a scratch on the side of my car. If anything, they would fly up and hit the undercarriage... and that area isn't all to cosmetic to begin with.

Bottom line... touch up paint costs less than the mud guards. :P

Thanks for the heads-up kyo27, I have the OEM all-weather mats but I was thinking about investing in the F/R mudguards too just to block any stones kicked up by the tires. I'll check out the web.
